Ubisoft Won’t Delay Star Wars Outlaws

As most of you know, Star Wars Outlaws is a new game set in a galaxy far away. Players are looking forward to it out there. Especially on the PlayStation side. It came pretty high in the ‘wanting to play’ anticipation poll on Push Square recently. But all is not what it seems. There are some questions being asked about whether it’s ready to hit that date after all.

Ubisoft has come out and said it’s gone gold, and there are no delays happening whatsoever. Well, that hasn’t gone down well with most people. Especially since some of the previews have come out with a few issues with the game that point to maybe it needing a bit more development time.

Where I stand on this, I wish they’d just delay it. But, to be honest, the culture is what it is now in this industry. These days, it’s about patching things later, upon issues arising. The problem is that on your ‘day one’ the experience isn’t so great. This is what is causing many players to wait for sales on games. After all, why buy a game or invest good money in it if you’re going to get a poorer experience? The payoff just isn’t there, and that’s why a lot of people who play video games just wait it out.

in the case of Star Wars Outlaws hitting that date in August as intended. If it comes out and people dislike or don’t think it’s ready. You’re not doing the industry any favours. But we will see, maybe this is just being blown out of proportion. But the dislikes on YouTube are a telling indicator of the discontent amongst fans.
