Over night, we had news about there being a live-action Zelda collaboration with Sony. Bear in mind, this isn’t with PlayStation. This is actually in fact with Sony Pictures which is a collaboration that is going to be funded by the pair. This is great news. I think this is going to be something that gets a lot of people excited. It’s pretty much something that everyone has been asking for since the Mario movie dropped.
Sure, there may be some disappointment with the fact it’s not animated and there may also be some concerns about how they make it work. But what we have to remember is the people involved in this particular production know their stuff.
I think it’s an absolute win for both sides I really do. Nintendo for obvious reasons as well as Sony for the hype and obvious money it will make the pair. It really is a no-brainer.
So when will we likely see something become of this movie? I haven’t got a clue. I couldn’t tell you but my bet is that it will bridge the gap of the next release from Nintendo in terms of their next Zelda video-game on the next generation of Nintendo Switch.
Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad, take the helm of this particular project. It’s no wonder then why the internet has really erupted with this news because it’s going to be interesting to see what form it takes. As well as how the story plays out.
The main thing for me is casting in what will be possibly Nintendo’s most important movie to date.
