The Hype of Rockstar Games

The Hype of Rockstar Games

Everyone is waiting for the next GTA VI. That’s indisputable. It’s been a long time since 2013 and going without a new GTA for almost two generations has been a long wait indeed. But what I will say is that things are moving along and all signs are pointing to it. We’re nearly in the middle of this generation and we’re almost certainly going to see something at some point. Patience is a virtue in this instance.

The thing about Rockstar Games though is that it’s pretty much been out of the spotlight for a while. When it comes back into it. I think we’re going to see a lot of questions from fans of Rockstar Games answered.

But the good news is that we’ve seen a lot of great comebacks this generation. If you look at Alan Wake 2. If you look at the pending arrival of Dragons Dogma 2. Of course, these are sequels and earlier I was moaning about the lack of creative prowess in the industry. That point does remain, but when it comes to franchises that haven’t been made for a long time. It’s kind of a different story with gamers everywhere, right? It’s all about the hype that Rockstar Games can create. That any studio can create utilising IP that haven’t had a sequel in years. The effects that it has in creating the right kind of response from fans is important.

We’re waiting to see what’s next from GTA VI. Most of us are even waiting for a revival in LA Noire. So don’t get me wrong, sequels do have their place. It’s just how they are utilised and how they can bring new ideas to the table over the longer period. The greatest example is how Rockstar Games utilises that hype machine. Which is why I’ve brought them into the equation here.

If anything, Rockstar Games is one of the best at doing that as well as the hype they create. It’s going to be interesting to see everything that Rockstar Games has been working on. I know like many of you out there how important these particular franchises are to us all.

But don’t be surprised if we see more from Rockstar Games very soon. More than just the initial franchises I have mentioned. Because there are whispers going around. It’ll be interesting if any of that has any substance to it.
