Sony is going to be upgrading the PS5 Pro and making it better for everyone using PSSR 2 and AI. This means that we’re going to be seeing a significant upgrade on what is an upgrade in itself. PS5 Pro could prove that its pricing for what you’re getting with this upgrade could be better performance than anywhere else for the software that matters to you. Sony will be targeting 4K resolution at 120 FPS and even 8K at 60 FPS.

The interesting thing will be how big of an upgrade this will be for select titles like GTA VI that’s coming next May. It’s very much timed to absolute perfection at a time when Nintendo Switch 2 is around the corner and we’re on the lead up to some really important games coming out for PlayStation heading into that all new generation that will be the PS6.

What is important to dissect here is if Sony is somehow able to match these incredible performances. It would give it a very distinct advantage over its competitors. You also have to think, if we see the kind of performances fans are expecting it could be one of the biggest pushes towards selling you that all important PS6. After all, some assume that this is just the beta until we get the real next generation. If that’s the case, what a way to usher in the kind of expectations that your fans want at a moment of great significance.
