Handheld Power, You Say? It’s Sony’s Next Move

We all know that Nintendo is the talk of the town right now. For the wrong reasons and some for the right. However, no matter how powerful the Nintendo Switch 2 is for a portable console. I foresee Sony really pushing all levels of their upcoming technology and hitting levels possibly within handheld that we haven’t seen in a handheld.

I think when you look at Microsoft’s approach and with them working with a third-party. It really isn’t what most are wanting. That’s not saying that it’s going to be insignificant but all the moves Microsoft are making in terms of pushing their software on PlayStation is only going to make them stronger in every imaginable area. To the point where it’s my personal belief that if you’re not in the Xbox-ecosystem. You’re going to be looking to Sony to deliver in the handheld space this time around. Something they haven’t done, not in terms of hardware, but in terms of their support of software and getting it right there. If we look at AstroBot. That would be the perfect on-the-go title.

There is a market however, for a handheld that gets all the fundamentals right with the technology. Pushing the boundaries is what Sony does. If it can get its hardware that supports some of its titles in the best way. While also, balancing that with battery life and a seamless in sync experience when purchasing. While also, learning from past mistakes. It’s my personal belief that Sony has it within them to really grab the attention of even some Nintendo fans if they play their cards right.

Obviously, we will never know the future but going on how the technology in handhelds is going to the next level. Especially in line with the comments that this is Nintendo’s best handheld yet in terms of power from the Borderlands 4 team. It just goes to show you that we’re at the dawn of an era where handheld gaming is going to be so important for the next generations of gamers. These companies are going to want to take full advantage of that.

Sony is a company that learns from its competition. I expect them to do so in abundance here as well no matter what the competition is and continue to lead in technological prowess that they endeavor to deliver. Trust me when I say this, the PS Portal was just the stepping stone and none of us will ever need sources for that going on what is currently happening and how Sony go about their business these days.
